  • A Personal Note from One of Our Patients

  • Dear Mr. Bates,
I spent ten weeks at Lord Chamberlain. I felt very secure and confident in the good care and companionship provided for me there.

The nurses and aides were professional and accommodating. Many employees went out of their way to make me comfortable: Dietary’s Donna Rooack, Housekeeping, Engineering and Transportation.

The food was wonderful and the facility clean and fresh-smelling. Jeannie McInerny was resourceful to a fault and Kyle Jackson kept us smiling and busy.

Physical Therapy, the main reason for my being there, was incredible. Frank Raccio keeps a tight reign over scheduling and the professional actions of his staff. I loved my therapists, both Jessica and Janice, as well as my aides, Anna and Robin.

My most unexpected pleasure, however, was seeing your interaction with both your staff and the patients at various events and especially, the general day-to-day activities. This, more than anything, accounts for the smooth operation you run and the attitudes of your employees. The low turn-over of personnel speaks to the manner in which they are treated.

Thank you for providing me with a comfortable stay under very challenging conditions.

    Sincerely,
    R.M., Milford, CT

  • To the wonderful staff and family at Lord Chamberlain:
I am thankful for having such wonderful hearts helping me heal. You made me and my husband feel right at home and gave me such wonderful care during my recovery.

To my nurses – Jaimie, Francis, Sandra, and Vicky – I thank you for warming my days with your sunshining smiles and keeping me on track with my health.

To my CNAs – Bianca, Fatima, Beverly, and Bunny – you have been a wonderful help and have been greatly missed as I tackled the home recovery without your tender care. We miss the smiles and laughs we shared with you and your golden hearts.

    Thank you.

  • The atmosphere at Lord Chamberlain is very pleasant and uplifting for both the residents and their families. The Recreation staff always worked very hard to provide great activities to involve the patients. Mom always enjoyed the special attention and kindness that she received from the staff. We felt confident knowing she was getting the very best care.

  • The doctors, nurses, therapists, aides, nutritionist, and recreation director were truly caring, concerned professional individuals. I felt my every need was addressed quickly, with compassion and respect. Daily physical and occupational therapy allowed me to leave 4 days earlier than anticipated.

  • The entire staff on Level 3 is very devoted to their patients, and make the families very comfortable. They have shown great concern and kindness, making our family feel as though we were the only family, and yet they have so many other duties.
